Since 2004, the SSCN holds an annual one-day conference, during which the latest developments in stem cell research and its potential applications are discussed and an exchange between interested parties (researchers, clinicians, and especially students) is encouraged. Ethical aspects or information on the current legislation are the subject of conference presentations, even though the main topics of the meeting concern science.
The Congress is divided into two keynote lectures of international experts, several talks of Swiss active researchers and clinicians, as well as short presentations of selected registered participants on the basis of their submitted abstracts. In addition, a poster session will be held, which represents an ideal forum for lively discussions.
The participation is free, but it is mandatory to register.
Note: The SSCN meeting has been recognized as a 0.5 day animal training course by the Swiss Association of Cantonal Veterinarians.
